ABOUT AS ALWAYS
The name As Always started in 2009 as a name for a nascent publication. During a long winter in Chicago, LB & SK shared links across the kitchen of the Marshlands and played board games and in so doing blew the top off the ethereal thermometer of potential creative energies. As Always was born.
The 'zine is a format that long intrigued LB & SK before starting As Always, grayscale low-tech laser printed half-letter size. Their normal methods of creation involve colors and odd sized materials, but for this project they reinterpreted these images to the half-page.
Each issue is born as a word, a theme to explore. LB was hungry and so there was NO.1 HUNGRY AS ALWAYS. Ever since LB has named the odd issues and SK the even. Since Chosen As Always LB & SK have collaborated via electronic mail and Google Docs as they explore greener pastures in other states. In an ideal world the 'zine has always existed and will continue on into the future as always.
